Cyber Essentials
Cyber Essentials Assessment
The cyber essentials is an independently verified self assessment certification.
This self-assessment gives you protection against a wide variety of the most common cyber attacks. It is important to address such simple attacks as they can make you stand out as a target for more in-depth unwanted attention from cyber criminals and others.
The independently verified certification gives you peace of mind that the implementation of your security controls will protect against the vast majority of common cyber attacks as these attacks are targeting organizations which do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place.
Organisations assess themselves against five basic security controls and a qualified assessor verifies the information provided.
Cyber Essentials represents the Government's minimum baseline standard for Cyber Security in the UK.
We as Certification Body are licensed by IASME consortium Ltd to deliver assessments for the Cyber Essentials scheme.
All the self assessment questions are available to download for free in advance from IASME. We will send them to you to make sure you have the right version.
You will get access to the portal immediately after paying for the assessment fees and have up to six months to complete the answers.
The answers are saved automatically by the system.
Once the answers have been provided, the assessment is marked by one of our assessors and usually a pass/fail is returned to the organisation within 72 hours.
Cyber Essentials certification includes automatic cyber liability insurance for any UK organisation who certifies their whole organisation and have less than £20m annual turnover (terms apply).
You will need to renew your certificate annually as it expires after twelve months. IASME removes companies from the certified organisation list if they are not certified within twelve months of their last certificate.
Cyber Essentials is an effective, Government backed minimum standard scheme that will help you to protect your organisation, whatever its size, against a whole range of the most common cyber attacks.
